About Us

About

The Annual Grabine Freshwater Tournament is held at Grabine Lakeside State Park via Bigga NSW 2583. Held on the last full weekend in August every year.

Description

Every year since 2000 a group of volunteers gets together to organise a non-for profit fishing competition. Money from our sponsors and entry fees are turned back over into the next year’s tournament prizes and restocking of the lake.

Mission

To create an enjoyable weekend of fishing (with a chance to win some great prizes along the way) for everyone from the keenest tournament anglers, casual fishos right through to whole families camping out together for the weekend. With our new Catch and Release photographic format we want to run a successful tournament with minimal impact on fish numbers and hopefully educate a few people in sustainable fishing practices.

Overview

Committee members are Ben Hewitt, Chris Clements, Daniel Kadwell, Diane Hewitt, Geoff Nicholson, Jamie Judd, Kevin Lawler, Mark Smith, Amanda Smith, Phil Cramp and Paul Reynolds. Along with Grabine Lakeside State Park and all of our sponsors we endeavor to organise a successful tournament for everyone. So come along and have great weekend fishing!
